Packing a Wardrobe for a Destination Wedding

Packing for a destination wedding demands more planning than a local event, since there is little chance to run out and buy a forgotten accessory or replace a damaged outfit once you have actually arrived at the venue itself, often in an unfamiliar town with limited shopping options nearby.

Rolling rather than folding delicate fabric reduces creasing during transit, and packing each outfit with its matching jewellery, blouse and dupatta together in one clearly labelled bag avoids frantic searching once you are unpacking in an unfamiliar hotel room the night before a function actually begins, something worth teaching to anyone newer to festive dressing, since it saves real trouble.

Building in one or two versatile backup pieces, ideally simple enough to work across more than one function, provides a genuine safety net against travel mishaps like a delayed bag or a damaged garment. A small travel steamer is also well worth the extra space in the case.
